Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled English, Maths, and Science Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, particularly having completed their studies from a grammar school. They will be responsible for providing comprehensive tutoring sessions to A Level and GCSE students, ensuring they grasp key concepts, improve their understanding, and achieve excellent results in their examinations. Responsibilities: a) Plan and deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions in English, Maths and Science for A Level and GCSE students. b) Tailor teaching methods and materials to suit individual student needs and learning styles. c) Help students develop critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in their subject knowledge. d) Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as necessary to ensure continuous improvement. e) Prepare students for exams by reviewing exam syllabus, practicing past papers, and imparting exam-taking strategies. f) Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and feedback. Requirements: a) Bachelor's degree running/completed. b) Completed GCSE/A-Level from a grammar school is highly preferred. c) NCFE Level 2 Qualification in Childcare is highly preferred. d) Completion of a First Aid Course is highly preferred. e) Proven experience in tutoring English, Maths, and Science at A Level and GCSE levels. f) Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching. We are looking for enthusiastic facilitators located in Southampton, who would like to work with children after-school hours to help them build small projects and gadgets that involve aspects of Science, Technology, Art, Mechanics and Electronics. The role is on a part-time basis for 2 classes a week and we will be running clubs in 2 schools, on a weekly basis, each class lasting for one hour. Training for each session is provided. So if you are a motivated individual who enjoys working with children, is willing to learn and wants to sharpen their teaching skills, this is the perfect role for you! Successful candidates will lead groups of young learners and teenagers on excursions to places of cultural and historical interest in and around London, such as museums, galleries, and parks. Excursion guides are required to: • Escort groups students on half-day excursions to various cultural and historical places of interest in and around London • Escort groups of students on full-day excursions to various cultural and historical places of interest including Oxford and Cambridge • Plan engaging and informative excursions and be prepared to speak to the group about landmarks and points of interest. • Provide students with historical, cultural, and local knowledge about the destinations visited. • Ensure the safety of students during excursions and follow all safeguarding protocols. • Maintain a professional demeanour and positive attitude when interacting with students, and other staff. • Communicate clearly and effectively with students regarding the itinerary and expectations for the excursion.
