You will be responsible for the receipt of the initial instructions and initial matter creating and associated checks to support risk assessment. Primary Duties Logging Client’s signed Forms of Authority and Completed Questionnaire on the Case Management System Requesting and logging required documentation from the Client DSAR Reviews First port of contact with client Booking and Arranging Client Appointments Preparing a Letter of Claim Preparing Part 36/Calderbanks for both client and defendant All necessary calls and correspondence with the Client and third parties in the initial stages of the Client’s claim. Management of incoming work source email inboxes Attributes & Competencies Required Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with both staff and members of the public English GCSE (grade 9-1, A-C or Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent) Law degree/graduate Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications Proven ability to plan, manage and prioritise workloads Flexible approach to working Working as part of a team and using own initiative Attention to detail Capability to undertake all assignments in a timely manner Knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection Desirable Previous administrative experience including excellent client care skills across different platforms, including telephone, email and written correspondence
We are a firm of solicitors providing a wide range of legal services, but specialising in civil litigation. we are recruiting a General litigation paralegal to assist our solicitors with their litigated case loads in a variety of areas such as financial mis selling, RTA and Business Energy. Please note that this is an in person role and the successful candidate will work full-time in our offices located in Bolton. The role will involve drafting and assisting with various court documents and procedures and so attention to detail and excellent drafting skills are essential. Candidates must have a law degree or equivalent and would ideally have completed the LPC and or have experience of working on litigated civil litigation claims. The successful candidate will: Prepare and assist with the preparation of court documents including particulars of claim, witness statements and court bundles • Consider and take instructions work on small claims, fast track and multi track cases manage a caseload of files from inception to completion • Prepare and draft documents • Review and report on evidence • Interview clients to obtain key information • Work on a case management system • Improve their telephone skills • Diary and time management The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 12 months experience working as a paralegal
