The Role 💻

We're on the hunt for an Experienced Cobol Developer to help us maintain and enhance our core systems. You'll be diving deep into our existing Cobol codebase, ensuring its stability, and implementing new features. If you're someone who enjoys the intricacies of legacy systems but also looks forward to modernizing them, this is the gig for you!

What You'll Be Doing:
---------------------

Writing, testing, and deploying high-quality Cobol code.
Working closely with our data teams to optimize SQL queries and database interactions.
Troubleshooting and debugging complex issues within our systems.
Collaborating with other developers and teams to implement new functionalities.
Contributing to our DevOps practices, helping to streamline our development and deployment pipelines.
Mentoring junior developers and sharing your extensive knowledge.
Staying up-to-date with the latest trends in Cobol development and related technologies.

What We're Looking For:
-----------------------

5+ years of professional experience in Cobol development. We need someone who really knows their way around!
Strong familiarity with SQL is a must. You'll be doing a lot of database work, so this is key! 🔑
Experience with debugging and performance tuning Cobol applications.
A solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools is a big plus! Think CI/CD, automation, etc. 🤖
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Great communication and teamwork abilities. We're a friendly bunch!
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.

Bonus Points (But Not Deal Breakers!):
