The incoming Loan Portfolio Assistant will work closely with the Senior Loan Management team with the ultimate view of ensuring that all active loans within the property loan book are performing, to achieve healthy redemption. Our growth model is based on promoting existing team members from within, with the next step on the ladder a rise to Loan Portfolio Manager once excellent performance is delivered. ** ** Role Responsibilities: · Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of the loan portfolio, ensuring accuracy and completeness of loan data. · Review loan documentation and perform periodic portfolio reconciliations. · Identify and report any discrepancies or issues to the Loan Portfolio Manager. · Prepare regular reports on the loan portfolio as and when required but also for the end of the month reporting to the CEO and external stakeholders. · Assist in the preparation and review of loan documents, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. · Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and provide support for loan-related queries within the 4-hour SLA. · Ensuring professionalism when corresponding with borrowers and any other party about the loans Role Requirements: · Previous experience in lending, loan administration, or portfolio management is preferred. · Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex loan data and identify trends. · Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately. · Proficient in using loan management software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint). · Solid understanding of lending principles, loan documentation, and regulatory requirements.
