Job Purpose The Waiter is responsible for representing the restaurant and provide high levels of customer service to all diners to ensure they have a memorable experience and return again 2. Principal Accountabilities 2.1 Prompt, and courteous greeting of customers 2.2 Take orders and deliver food to customers on the table in an accurate and timely manner 2.3 Ensure all guests receive positive and professional service to the highest standards to exceed the customer's expectations 2.4 Follow sequence of service standards as per brand guidelines 2.5 Have a complete and thorough knowledge of all menu items in order to be able to describe and make suggestive selling to customers 2.6 Ensure food quality and consistency is delivered at all times 2.7 Manage the set up and close down of tables within section 2.8 Ensure tables are turned around and ready with minimal delay 2.9 Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards 2.10 Ensure the cleanliness and refilling of condiment sets and napkin containers 2.11 Coordinating with cashier to handle accurately order invoices and tips 2.12 Keeps all work stations and equipment as clean as possible at all times 2.13 Attend all regular departmental briefings and contribute to an open communication within the assigned team. 2.14 Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned. 3. Responsibilities : Perform opening and closing duties Fill in opening and closing check list Setting up the working station, ensure that it is well organised to prepare the service Help the waiters in preparation of the venue Collect empty plates and take them to the dishwasher area Help cleaning the table after customers leave Assists the restaurant team and serve the client on time Assists to set up station properly and on time for each service period Be able to work in another area when needed Follow clean as you go policy and keep work area clean at all time Ensuring good hygiene and health and safety at all time Folding napkins Change and clean ashtrays Refill candle holders Refill olive oil vinegar when needed Ensure the closing team leave the venue as per the standard for the opening team Attend daily briefing Every visit at jul’s restaurant is a unique experience, rich in emotion.
