As Security Manager for Spain, based at the Corporate Office in Madrid, you will be responsible for defining, planning, coordinating, and implementing protocols, processes, and procedures to safeguard employees, ensure business continuity, and protect Cemex’s assets, operations, and information across Spain. You will report to the Security Manager EMEA and collaborate closely with both local and regional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct intelligence-led risk assessments covering threats to assets, personnel, information, and operations., • Lead and conduct investigations into security incidents, fraud, and policy violations, ensuring timely resolution, root-cause identification, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions., • Recommend and implement effective, cost-efficient security measures to mitigate identified risks., • Manage and oversee security systems, including CCTV, intrusion alarms, manned guarding, and cyber-vulnerable business systems., • Promote a strong security culture across the organization, ensuring awareness among all stakeholders., • Monitor emerging threats and design and implement appropriate countermeasures., • Provide strategic security advice and support to senior leadership, operational managers, and site teams., • Collaborate with external partners such as police, cyber teams, and security service providers., • Contribute to regional and multi-country security coordination programs (e.g., 4DR: Deter, Deny, Detect, Disrupt & Respond)., • Define and manage security budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources., • Ensure compliance with security, safety, environmental, and quality policies and standards. Academic Background: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or related discipline (desirable)., • Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (desirable)., • Native in Spanish and Proficient in English Experience: • Minimum of 7 years of experience in investigations within police, law enforcement agencies (LEA), military, or industry-related roles., • Proven experience in applying protective security measures (physical, procedural, and technological)., • Experience in corporate security, ideally within complex industrial or multi-site environments., • Strong experience in conducting detailed threat and risk assessments related to assets, personnel, operations and information., • Understanding of cyber-enabled threats and experience applying cybersecurity practices in operational environments. Knowledge and Skills: • Strong knowledge of protective security practices, including physical, procedural, and cyber risk mitigation., • Proficiency in IT tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and cybersecurity-related applications., • Expertise in physical security systems and corporate security frameworks., • Strong understanding of Health & Safety (H&S) programs., • Leadership and decision-making capabilities., • Analytical thinking and ability to manage complex situations under pressure., • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written., • Planning and organizational skills., • Ability to understand business risks and competitive environments., • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism., • Willingness to travel across Spain and occasionally internationally.
