The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, assisting with shipping and receiving, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. The position involves physical tasks such as heavy lifting and load/unload activities, requiring attention to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities • Handle materials efficiently, including picking, packing, labelling, stocking, and organising stock within the warehouse, • Operate pallet trucks and other mechanical equipment safely to load and unload goods and arrange in the warehouse, • Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch of items, • Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and update records accurately, • Conduct quality control checks to maintain product standards during handling and storage, • Assist with stock replenishment and organise storage areas for optimal accessibility, • Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to health and safety regulations, • Previous warehouse experience is required; training will be provided for specific equipment use, • Knowledge of materials handling techniques and mechanical systems is advantageous, • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), shipping & receiving procedures, and stock control processes is desirable, • Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and load/unload activities efficiently and safely, • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and quality control, • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

TDC Cordless Lighting, a growing small business in the lighting rental sector for film, TV, and events, is seeking a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Manager. Based at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, this full-time position operates Monday to Friday for 40 hours per week, with no weekends or shift work required. As Warehouse Manager, you will take full ownership of our hires, stock, and dispatch, working closely with our small team to ensure efficient operations and high customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: About You: • You are comfortable using basic stock management software or Excel. We offer flexible shifts according to your availability. We conduct stock-takes throughout the UK through our regional offices. In partnership with high street retailers and leading supermarkets. These include Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Morrison’s, Asda, Waitrose and many more. Everyday is a different experience. There are opportunities if you wish to participate in overseas assignments. What we are looking for : • Team player, enthusiastic and energetic., • Due to the nature of our work, you must be able to work unsociable hours including early mornings and during the night., • Sundays are our busiest days and these are essential working days., • Minimum 4 days availability from Sunday to Thursday. (Sundays are must), • Being able to stand for prolonged periods of time and count stock safely at different heights.
