Job Title: Part time Barista (Monday-Sunday) Must be available 12pm-5pm Location: Dagenham About Us: We’re a cozy and vibrant coffee shop and patisserie in East London, known for our specialty coffee, delicious pastries, and welcoming atmosphere. Our shop is a community favourite, especially among students and locals, and we pride ourselves on exceptional service, quality products, and a friendly vibe. We’re looking for a part-time barista to join our team, someone who brings warmth, energy, and a proactive attitude to work. Job Overview: As a part-time barista, you’ll be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee, interacting with customers, and keeping our space clean and inviting. You must be available to work from 12pm to 5.30 PM, on the agreed days, helping us handle the midday to afternoon rush. We also open weekends, so must be available to work Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm. Ideally, you’re someone with experience in coffee, but more importantly, you have a bubbly, can-do personality and love creating positive experiences for everyone who walks through our doors. Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages - Engage with customers warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming and friendly environment - Assist with light food preparation, handling pastries, and serving items from our patisserie menu - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including the coffee bar, toilets and seating area - Handle payments and operate the POS system accurately - Restock supplies and proactively assist in keeping inventory organized What We’re Looking For: - Experience: Previous barista experience is preferred, but not essential if you’re a fast learner with a passion for coffee. We can teach you everything! - Personality: Outgoing, friendly, and able to connect with a variety of customers. Join Our Team as an Experienced Barista/Front of House at Our Forest Gate Branch! We are looking for a talented Barista or Front of House (FOH) team member to become part of our dynamic crew at our Forest Gate location. Please ensure you are applying specifically for this branch. This is a full-time position with mixed shifts from Monday to Sunday, between 6:30 am and 5:30 pm. Availability on weekdays is a Must! Along with some weekend shifts. Main Responsibilities: 1. Drink Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, artisan drinks, and specialty creations. You will also serve customers in our outdoor garden area, maintaining speed and consistency. Packing takeaways ! 2. Food Service: Display, prepare, and serve cakes and light snacks with a focus on high presentation standards. 3. Latte Art: Demonstrate your skills in latte art to enhance the customer experience. 4. Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, including utensils and equipment, to meet health and safety standards. 5. Customer Engagement: Serve customers with a friendly demeanor while efficiently taking orders and multitasking to meet their needs. 6. Equipment Calibration: Calibrate coffee machines and grinders to ensure optimal performance for quality beverages. 7. Dishwashing: Assist with washing up when necessary to maintain a tidy workspace. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced environment and the ability to thrive under pressure. Multitasking and prioritizing duties will be crucial for success in this role. Independence and self-motivation are key, as you will be working in front-of-house operations. You should possess strong verbal English skills, be friendly, and have excellent customer service abilities, with a genuine willingness to ensure all customers have a satisfying experience. I need someone to work my front of house, take orders, use a coffee machine (latte art is essential) and wait tables. Main duties will be producing well presented coffee with latte art. But also hands on in serving clients, taking out food, helping kitchen staff etc. Latte art is a must This is not a job for the faint hearted.
