Job description: Food Assistant / Barista Join Our Team! We're looking for a friendly, reliable Food Assistant to join our busy coffee shop team. What you'll be doing: • Preparing and serving fresh food to a high standard., • Assisting with food preparation and maintaining excellent food hygiene standards., • Providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment., • Operating the till confidently and accurately, including handling cash and card payments., • Keeping the coffee shop clean, organised, and well-stocked., • Supporting the team wherever needed. Essential requirements: • Previous experience working in a coffee shop, café, or similar fast-paced hospitality environment., • Previous experience using a till and handling customer transactions., • Excellent customer service skills., • A positive attitude and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment., • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong team ethic., • Flexibility to work shifts across all 7 days of the week, including weekends, as required by the rota. Desirable experience: • Previous barista training or coffee-making experience., • Experience using a Merrychef oven. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
