Role Description We’re looking for caring and reliable people to join us as Haven Buddies (Care Assistants / Support Workers / Companions). In this role, you’ll provide essential companionship and support to individuals and families. Every day is different, but you may: • Provide companionship and conversation to reduce loneliness., • Help with light household tasks (meal preparation, tidying)., • Support safe daily routines (reminders, wellbeing checks)., • Accompany clients to appointments, activities, or walks in the community. Role: Mental Health HCA's and Support Workers Location: Various care packages across the Nottinghamshire area Pay: Competitive rates (paid weekly) Shifts: Rota – Block Bookings Key Responsibilities: ✅ Provide 1:1 , 2:1 , 3:1 support to individuals with complex needs. ✅ Assist with daily living tasks, medication administration, and behavioural support. ✅ Work alongside nurses, social workers, and multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure tailored care plans are followed. ✅ Support individuals transitioning from hospital discharge into community settings. ✅ Implement positive behaviour support (PBS) strategies and de-escalation techniques. ✅ Maintain accurate care records and report concerns in line with safeguarding policies. ✅ Encourage independence, social inclusion, and personal development. Requirements: ✔ Previous experience in complex care, mental health, or learning disabilities. ✔ Level 2 or 3 Health & Social Care qualification (preferred but not essential). ✔ Experience with challenging behaviours, autism, or forensic mental health (desirable). ✔ Training in MAPA, PMVA, or Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) (desirable). ✔ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply). ✔ A driver’s licence is beneficial but not essential.
