About the role As a Residential Children’s Practitioner, you will provide day-to-day care and support for children and young people in a therapeutic residential setting. You will help create a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment while supporting emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive outcomes. What you’ll do • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people, • Support emotional wellbeing, daily routines, and independence, • Follow care plans and record key information accurately, • Work closely with colleagues and partner professionals, • Promote safeguarding, safety, and positive behaviour support What we’re looking for • A caring, resilient, and child-focused approach, • Ability to build professional relationships and work as part of a team, • Good communication, observation, and record-keeping skills, • Commitment to safeguarding and trauma-informed practice, • A full UK driving licence, • Applicants must be aged 21 or over Career development This is a great opportunity to build a long-term career in residential childcare, with progression routes into senior, deputy manager, registered manager, and responsible individual roles. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Between £27,750 and £36,739* a year (£57.20 per sleep included). *salary dependant on qualifications and undertaking minimum sleep’s per month.
