Main Purpose of the Role: To manage the day-to-day operations of the retail store, ensuring high standards of customer service, achieving sales and profitability targets, maintaining legal compliance, and leading a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities • Manage all daily store operations to ensure efficient and profitable trading., • Lead, supervise, and motivate store employees to achieve business objectives., • Recruit, train, schedule, and conduct performance reviews for staff., • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability., • Manage stock ordering, inventory control, and minimise wastage and shrinkage., • Ensure product availability and maintain high merchandising standards., • Prepare and monitor store budgets, financial reports, and KPI performance., • Analyse sales data and customer trends to improve business performance., • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally., • Ensure compliance with company policies, licensing requirements, health and safety legislation, food hygiene regulations, and age-restricted sales policies., • Oversee cash handling, banking procedures, and security controls., • Develop promotional activities and local marketing initiatives to increase customer footfall., • Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate where appropriate., • Maintain accurate business records and operational documentation., • Ensure the store meets audit requirements and regulatory standards.
