This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Surgeon who is passionate about education and developing the next generation of veterinary professionals. The Role You will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across a range of veterinary nursing programmes, supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and progress successfully into employment. The role involves classroom-based delivery, assessment, learner support and close collaboration with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure outstanding learner outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Deliver engaging and inclusive teaching across a range of veterinary nursing courses, • Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with awarding body requirements, • Develop and upload learning resources to the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), • Conduct formative and summative assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback, • Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement, setting targets where needed, • Act as a Clinical Tutor, supporting students with clinical progression and NPL completion, • Support student welfare, safeguarding and health & safety at all times, • Participate in learner reviews, team meetings and quality assurance activities Essential: • Registered Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Surgeon (RCVS registered), • Relevant professional qualification in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Medicine, • Experience working within the veterinary sector, • Willingness to undertake a teaching qualification (Level 3 Award in Education & Training if not already held), • Teaching qualification (Level 5 or above), • Experience teaching or training in an educational setting, • Assessor and/or Internal Verifier qualifications, • Knowledge of awarding bodies and quality assurance processes Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter. Our Putney practice location has a true London ‘village’ atmosphere, just a short walk from the River Thames, Putney High Street, and Putney Station. Our Putney team includes 2 part-time vets, and fantastic clinical support team who have a passion for building strong bonds with their established client base, so the team are looking for a Senior RVN to complete our perfect Putney practice puzzle! Being senior RVN, you will work closely with your vets to ensure the day to day running of the practice is maintained to a high standard, accountabilities ranging from diary management to equipment maintenance and team engagement. You will have the full support from a dedicated regional manager, and OOH care is provided by our Stone Lion 24-hour hospital just a 15–30-minute drive away.
