An opportunity for a chef to take the next step in their career in a beautiful, food led, country pub near Tonbridge. Over winter you will also have the opportunity to work in our new restaurant, producing regional French food. Who we are We run an independent country pub in Penshurst, near Tonbridge. The pub has a seasonal food led offering, cooked using fresh ingredients with the restaurant ordinarily very busy in the summer months and running up to Christmas, but also has many year round regulars who come in for a drink. This winter we launch a new themed restaurant, providing more variety in the food you will be preparing. The role We have an excellent kitchen team led by our head chef, known for his curries as well as more traditional British dishes. However, we expect to be busy this winter so the time has come to add another chef to the team. You would support our head chef and so this role would suit a less experienced chef who would like to continue developing their skill. We value work life balance and will ensure you are not regularly working more hours than you want to. However, there would be some weekend work involved, we expect your typical working days to be Thursday - Sunday.
