Relief Security Officer (Part-Time) Cinderford Glevum Security Ltd is currently recruiting a Relief Security Officer to work in Cinderford. This is a part-time, permanent role working within an abattoir environment, providing cover for holidays, sickness, and additional site requirements. Duties include monitoring access to the site, carrying out regular patrols, checking vehicles and visitors in and out, maintaining accurate records, reporting incidents, and ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed at all times. The successful candidate must be reliable, professional, and able to work independently in a busy environment. Shift Pattern: Flexible shifts available 12-hour shifts Days, nights, and weekends as required Overtime opportunities available Duties include: Controlling access and monitoring site entry/exit points Conducting regular patrols Carrying out animal welfare checks (full training provided) Monitoring and recording weighbridge operations for vehicles Logging vehicle movements and site activity Responding to incidents and maintaining accurate reports Important: This role is based in a working abattoir. Live animals are regularly brought onto site for slaughter and processing, so applicants must be comfortable working in this environment.
