Cramond Playgroup are currently looking to recruit 1 qualified early years Practitioner. We are looking for a qualified practitioner who holds a HNC, SVQ 3 or equivalent in childcare or working towards, Cramond Playgroup is a long established and successful community playgroup, Who operate a fun, caring and safe environment for children aged between 2 - 5 years five mornings a week from 9am-12. We are looking for our candidate to work 4 or 5 days a week Monday to Friday, hours of work will be 8.30am to 12.30 or 8.45am to 12.45. We do not operate during school holidays. The post is subject to criminal record checks and membership of the PVG scheme. Cramond Playgroup is registered with the Care Inspectorate. You Will need • An understanding of children's observations, • HNC, SVQ3 or equivalent in childcare or working towards., • Good communication, • Good time management, • A knowledge of safeguarding practices., • What You’ll Do, • Provide safe, engaging, and fun learning experiences for children aged 2 to 5 years, • Support the team/children in daily routines, activities,, • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, • safeguarding and Promoting the health, safety, and well-being of all children, • Ensuring the children are cared for in a happy and stimulating environment, • Working in partnership with parents and carers, • Being able to support children in their individual routines, • Experience of being a key person and doing observations, able to capture children's learning moments and record them, • Following and implementing all of the policies and procedures set out by the playgroup, • A high degree of professionalism., • What We’re Looking For, • Passion for working with young children and supporting their development, • Teamwork, reliability and Good time management, • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children Pay and benefits: £12.60 per hour, term-time (38 weeks per year) plus paid annual leave, salary paid in 12 monthly instalments.
