SEND Support Workers, Session Leaders & Volunteers

We are looking for experienced and passionate Session Leaders to oversee the delivery of our SEND sessions. You will be responsible for leading sessions, supporting staff, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage SEND sessions effectively, • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times, • Support children and young people with a range of SEND needs, • Plan and deliver engaging activities (e.g. sensory play, outdoor play, creative activities), • Supervise and support support workers within sessions, • Communicate effectively with parents/carers when required, • Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding requirementsRequirements, • Essential: Experience working with children and young people with SEND, • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures, • Ability to lead a team confidently, • Experience supporting children with complex needs (desirable), • Good communication and organisational skillsCompliance Requirements, • Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain), • Right to work in the UK, • Willingness to be added to our staff management and compliance system (including safeguarding records, staff details, and training logs) 2. SEND Support Workers Responsibilities include: • Providing 1:1 and small group support for children with SEND, • Supporting children with communication, social development, and emotional regulation, • Assisting with sensory needs, personal care (if required), and adapting activities, • Creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment, • Communicating effectively with parents, carers and the wider team, • Following individual support plans, EHCPs and behaviour strategies, • Experience working with SEND (autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH, physical needs etc.), • Experience in childcare, youth work, education or care settings, • Calm, patient, nurturing approach, • Ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues, • Need to be on the updated service Essential Requirements (All Roles) • A genuine passion for helping children with SEND, • Good communication skills, • Reliability and professionalism, • Ability to work as part of a supportive team, • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare, • Willingness to learn and follow guidance
