Part-Time Legal Cashier \n Location: Blackburn \n Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 FTE (pro rata) \n Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time - 2-3 days per week \n Working Pattern: Office-Based with Flexible Core Hours \n Client Details \n Michael Page have partnered with an established and well-respected law firm in Blackburn who are looking to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier to join its friendly and supportive team on a permanent, part-time basis. \n This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual with legal finance experience to play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the firm. The position offers flexible core working hours and can accommodate candidate looking to work 2 or 3 days per week. \n Description \n The key responsibilities of a Legal Cashier will include: \n\n • Processing client and office account transactions in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules.\n, • Managing daily banking activities, including receipts, payments and bank reconciliations.\n, • Processing electronic payments and CHAPS transfers.\n, • Posting and reconciling client and office account transactions.\n, • Handling purchase ledger invoices and supplier payments.\n, • Raising office invoices and processing receipts.\n, • Monitoring client balances and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.\n, • Liaising with fee earners, suppliers and clients regarding financial queries.\n, • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit requirements.\n, • Assisting with general finance administration as required.\n\n Profile \n The successful Legal Cashier will have: \n \n\n • Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm.\n, • A strong understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules.\n, • Experience managing client and office accounts.\n, • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.\n, • Good working knowledge of legal accounting software and Microsoft Excel.\n, • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\n, • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to work.\n\n \n Job Offer \n\n • A salary between £30,000 - £35,000 FTE (Pro rata)\n, • Part time, full time office based working\n, • Annual bonus\n, • Flexible core hours\n, • Free car parking\n, • Generous annual leave + birthday off\n, • Private health care\n, • Company pension / life assurance\n, • Social events\n
