Pertemps Network Catering is looking for experienced Cooks and Chefs to join our busy temporary team. We proudly support a wide range of clients, including Schools, Colleges, and Residential Homes, and we’re looking for skilled professionals with a flexible approach to work.\nWe offer a variety of shifts Monday to Sunday, typically between 7am–3pm and 10am–6pm. Whether you’re seeking full-time hours or part-time work to fit around other commitments, we’d love to hear from you.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare and cook meals for students and residents alongside established catering teams\nOversee food production and ensure high standards of cooking\nMaintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment\nManage and order stock to ensure fresh, high-quality ingredients are always available\nWork collaboratively with kitchen staff to support smooth service\nMonitor food quality, portion control, and minimise waste\nEnsure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any issues\nFollow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations\nAdapt menus to meet dietary requirements and allergen needs\nQualifications & Requirements\nGNVQ / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Catering or equivalent\nValid Food Hygiene Certificate\nStrong knowledge of food allergens and experience working with dietary requirements\nEnhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete safeguarding vetting (essential for roles in vulnerable settings)\nBenefits\nCompetitive hourly pay\nRegular, consistent working hours\nOpportunity to make a positive impact on the wellbeing and nutrition of students and residents\nSupportive team and ongoing temporary assignments\n📩 To apply, please submit your CV or contact us for more information
