Role Overview As a Line Technician in a fast-paced FMCG environment, you will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of production efficiency, quality, and safety. This position requires strong technical expertise combined with key competencies such as attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. You will work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating effective communication, adaptability under pressure, and a commitment to delivering consistent results in a dynamic manufacturing setting. Working Hours 41.25 hours per week, on a two-weekly rotating shift cycle as follows: Shift 1 - 06:00–14:15 - 14:00–22:15 2 - 14:00–22:15 - 06:00–14:15 Weekend coverage may be required depending on business needs and will be distributed fairly across teams. Key Responsibilities • Operate and monitor production line equipment to maintain optimal performance., • Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs on machinery., • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues promptly., • Conduct line changeovers and setups according to production schedules., • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times., • Record and report equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance activities., • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements., • Support root cause analysis for recurring technical issues. Health & Safety Responsibilities • Ensure compliance with LT Foods UK’s health & safety, food safety, and quality assurance standards., • Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly to the Production Manager or Shift Supervisor., • Support the implementation of safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment., • Participate in health and safety briefings and training sessions as required. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Line Efficiency, • Downtime Reduction, • Changeover Time, • Maintenance Compliance, • Quality Performance, • Safety Compliance Requirements • Minimum 2 years within FMCG or high-speed manufacturing., • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills., • Strong communication and teamwork abilities., • Attention to detail and commitment to quality., • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment., • Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
