Requirements for Deputy Manager • Diploma L3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent), • Willingness to complete Diploma L5 L&M in H&S, • Knowledge of CHR 2015 and the QS, • Awareness of Equal Opportunities/ADP issues, • Knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation, • Team-building skills, • Supervision skill, • Ability to manage teams effectively., • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing., • Understanding the needs of looked-after children including managing challenging behaviour., • Excellent organisational skills 12 months relevant supervisory experience You will be required to be flexible in your hours supporting the children the staff and the Manager Deputy Manager Key Responsibilities: • Assist and support the Registered Manager in all aspects of the residential care of the Ofsted registered home, to provide a high quality service which meets the individual needs of the children and young people and to help create and maintain a non-institutionalised, child centred safe community home for extremely vulnerable children ., • Take on on-call duties outside of working hours in support of the home dealing with situations in line with children’s homes regulations and company procedures, • Support staff on a day to day basis promoting good practice and responding to concerns or first line complaints., • Take part in the assessment process of potential new admissions to the home., • Oversee record keeping and take part in the regular auditing of the children and young people’s records, responding to any issues requiring further action, including those identified at reviews., • Manage and provide supervision for designated support workers and night waking support worker, • The focus of our service delivery is to help and support our clients to develop their independent living skills whilst in transition towards adulthood and being able to manage their own tenancy in the community effectively.

The ideal candidate will have worked as either a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager on traditional build housing schemes/high volume and has experience of starting projects & taking units from foundation to handovers, with strong knowledge of traditional build. The scheme consists of 900 units, split across multiple phases of all traditional build homes, including private build and HA Duties, • Project Manager, reporting to the Contract Manager, • Full site set up and programming, • Leading and managing site managers and assistant site managers, • Chair sub-subcontractor meetings, • Ensuring the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build program, • RAMS, • Full understanding of H&S and ensuring its adhered to, • Snagging of sub-contractor work, • Calls off/Materials, • Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates, • NHBC stage inspections, • Controlling additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure, • Driving through quality at every stage of the construction process, • Ensuring the development pass internal and external inspection processes, • Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others, • Monitoring and controlling the quality of production and approve stage completions to payments to subcontractors, • Project Manager/Senior Site Manager experience, • Proven experience of being a No1 ideally responsible for multiple phases, • Experience of running large high-volume projects ideally worked for a PLC, • Excellent sub-contractor experience, • Strong commercial awareness, • Able to train and manage any staff who report into you, • New build, residential experience, • CSCS Black, SMSTS, First Aid, Scaffold awareness Benefits • Salary range £80,000 - £87000 annually, • Bonus 20%, • Car allowance, • 27 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays, • Private Healthcare, • 7% Pension, • Bonus
