Fabricator - MIG & TIG Welder – Job Description Role Overview: A MIG & TIG Welder is responsible for fabricating and repairing metal components using Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding processes. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work from technical drawings to produce high-quality welds across a variety of materials. Key Responsibilities: • Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and other alloys, • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, • Prepare materials, including cleaning and cutting to required dimensions, • Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, • Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, • Conduct basic maintenance of welding tools and equipment, • Follow health & safety procedures at all times Key Skills & Requirements: • Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding, • Ability to read technical drawings., • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship, • Knowledge of welding safety standards and procedures, • Relevant welding qualifications or certifications preferred Working Environment: Typically based in workshops, fabrication shops.
