Car Washer / Valeter – Role Description (Must hold a full UK Driving Licence) Overview A Car Washer / Valeter is responsible for cleaning, preparing, and presenting vehicles to a high standard. The role involves hands-on work, attention to detail, and good customer service. You will ensure every vehicle leaves the site looking clean, fresh, and professionally finished. Key Responsibilities Wash vehicle exteriors using jet wash, foam, and hand-wash techniques Clean, vacuum, and detail vehicle interiors (dashboards, carpets, seats, windows) Apply wax, polish, and protective treatments as required Move vehicles safely around the site — a full UK driving licence is essential Follow correct procedures for chemicals and equipment Check final finish of vehicles before handing over to customers Provide friendly, helpful, customer service when interacting with clients Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area Report any vehicle damage or issues to supervisor/management Skills & Qualities Needed Full UK driving licence (required) Ability to work efficiently and physically in an outdoor environment Good attention to detail Reliable, punctual, and hardworking Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic understanding of cleaning products and equipment (training provided) Customer-friendly attitude Experience Previous car wash, valeting, or cleaning experience is helpful but not required — training can be provided. Additional Requirements Must be eligible to work in the UK Able to work weekends or flexible hours if required Able to follow safety procedures for chemicals and equipment
