CASUAL/ PART TIME ROLE. **Grill masters and frying gurus and join our 2024 events team for Nanny Bill’s!! ** Kicking off in May our food truck and gazebo set up will be travelling the UK. - You will need to be more than comfortable in a kitchen environment and used to longer days. Events experience will be a benefit. - High energy, super friendly and fun vibes is what we bring to our events circuit (As well as good music and banging burgers of course!!) - Some of the events are weekends staying away in a camping environment. (your own camping stuff is needed for some, although we may be able to help!) - Travel to locations can be arranged however, if you drive or have a vehicle - that would be advantageous!! - Training will be offered for 2 week period in fixed location in london ahead of festival season starting What we offer: £10-£15 per hour depending on experience and age, plus bonuses. Birthday bonus to enjoy your day Staff food and drinks whist on shift (we can’t have you hungry!) Responsibilities: Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, pastries, and borek according to established recipes and quality standards, including cheesecake, red velvet cake, banana bread, and more. Arrive promptly at 7:00 am to begin preparations, ensuring that products are ready for sale by 8:30 am. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the cafe manager to determine the baking schedule for mass cooking batches. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen space, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Provide friendly and efficient customer service during your shift, treating patrons with the same warmth and care as you would your own family. Assist with other duties as assigned, pitching in wherever needed to ensure the smooth operation of our family business. Qualifications: Previous experience working as a pastry chef or baker, preferably in a cafe or similar setting. Proficiency in baking a variety of cakes, pastries, and börek, with the ability to follow recipes and adapt batch sizes as needed. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Flexibility to work part-time hours between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm, with the potential for additional hours as needed. We are looking for a talented Pasta Chef to join L’arte Restaurant Kitchen Team on a Full Time Permanent basis. The appointed Pasta Chef will report into the Head Chef and will support the kitchen Team in ensuring all the ordered dishes from our guests are prepared to an impeccable standard. You will be a great foodie with being highly organised in preparing great food, while ensuring that Food Safety Standards are adhered to at all times.
To prepare, cook and serve breakfast at the required service time and standard To undertake any catering task as directed by the Line Manager To undertake washing up and cleaning as required To serve customers in a quick, polite manner ensuring good customer service at all times To complete any administration as requested including food temperatures, wastage and cleaning schedules etc To ensure minimal wastage, implementing ideas for reducing waste wherever possible Assist in the effective management of stock and portion control Ensure all equipment is in a safe working order. Report all faults to the relevant manager and ensure equipment is not used until safe to do so. To ensure the kitchen is maintained in a clean, organised manner ensuring all food safety and health & safety policies and procedures are followed. To communicate to team and client staff in a polite, efficient manner To listen and forward any customer suggestions or complaints to the Line Manager
