Project ManagerClient: BAE SystemsLocation: Southern Submarine Sites - Filton, Frimley, Weymouth, FarnboroughContract: 18 monthsHourly Rate: £47 PAYE or £63.40 UmbrellaHybrid: 3 days per week on site/site visitsOverviewWe are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Dreadnought Engineering Programme Office, supporting the delivery of engineering outputs into the Dreadnought Combat Systems programme. Reporting to the Head of Engineering Delivery, you will act as a Control Account Manager (CAM) and lead a team of project management professionals. You will be responsible for managing cost, schedule, risk and resources, while ensuring effective project management support to the engineering teams delivering combat systems capability.Key Responsibilities • Lead and develop a team of project management professionals, • Manage project cost, schedule and performance through the Performance Management Baseline (PMB), • Maintain accurate Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts, • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required, • Manage risks and opportunities across the programme area, • Build strong relationships with engineering teams and key stakeholders, • Produce regular project reporting and management informationSkills & Experience, • Experience managing project teams within complex programmes, • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, • Experience managing project schedules, budgets and risk, • Ability to work closely with engineering and technical teams, • Ideally experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), • Experience within the defence industry
