Kitchen Assistant Dinner Shift 5pm - 9pm Tuesday to Sunday

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using dishwashers and/or manual methods., • Clean kitchen surfaces, sinks, walls, floors, and storage areas throughout and at the end of shifts., • Empty and clean bins and waste containers regularly; separate recycling where required., • Follow cleaning schedules (daily, weekly, deep clean tasks)., • Use approved cleaning chemicals safely and according to manufacturer instructions., • Clean and maintain ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen appliances as directed., • Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the Head Chef or Supervisor immediately., • Assist chefs by collecting, washing, and returning equipment promptly., • Help with basic food preparation tasks (e.g., peeling vegetables, portioning ingredients) under supervision., • Refill and restock clean crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils where needed., • Keep dry stores, walk-in fridges/freezers, and prep areas tidy and organized., • Separate and dispose of food waste, recyclables, and general waste correctly., • Follow site recycling and waste reduction procedures., • Maintain cleanliness around refuse areas to prevent pests. 3. Health & Safety • Follow all Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)regulations., • Wear correct personal protective equipment (PPE): gloves, non-slip shoes, apron, hair covering., • Be aware of fire exits, extinguishers, and emergency procedures., • Report any accidents, injuries, or hazards immediately to a supervisor. 4. End-of-Shift Duties • Ensure all washing-up is completed and areas are clean and sanitized., • Check and clean drains, sinks, and filters., • Empty bins and replace liners., • Turn off and clean dishwashing machines., • Return all cleaning equipment to storage., • Prepare the kitchen for the next shift. 5. Personal Conduct • Maintain a professional, positive attitude and cooperate with all team members., • Follow instructions from chefs and supervisors promptly., • Be punctual, reliable, and maintain good personal hygiene., • Communicate effectively and report issues proactively. 6. Skills and Attributes • Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure., • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness., • Good physical stamina (standing, lifting, carrying)., • Teamwork and willingness to assist wherever needed., • Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety principles (training provided).

We required an experienced kitchen porter to work in our small busy Italian restaurant. Will be required to wash dishes, help chefs where required and maintain the kitchen to a clean and safe standard previous experience is required

A long-established Spanish restaurant is currently looking for a kitchen porter, 40 hours per week who will be working as part of the team, to help the chef with preparation. Needs to be easygoing, and able to communicate in Spanish is essential. Working hours Tuesday to Saturday, good rate of pay.
