Driving Shopkeeper (Self-employed Subcontractor) | London Start date: ASAP Work type: Ad-hoc shifts (no guaranteed minimum hours) Rate: £14.50/hour (self-employed contract rate) Payment: Weekly, on receipt of invoice Join Wundermart We’re expanding across the UK and we’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Shopkeeper to support and monitor our growing network of smart retail shops across London. Our self-service shops are located in hotel lobbies and other high-traffic locations, offering guests convenient access to everyday essentials. This is a field-based role requiring regular travel between hotels. Stock collection and parking • Stock collection is from our hub in Greenford (UB6), • Free parking available at the hub, • Ideally you live within 1 hour of the Greenford site (strongly preferred due to early starts and stock collection) What you’ll do • Collect stock from our hub and deliver to multiple retail locations, • Receive, organise, and restock deliveries, • Monitor inventory levels and maintain strong availability, • Maintain a clean, organised, and professional shop appearance, • Track basic performance and share insights to improve product selection, • Collaborate with the wider team to improve store standards and sales execution Requirements (must have) • Right to work in the UK, • Self-employed and able to invoice (UTR required), • Manual driving licence, 2+ years driving experience, and 6 or fewer penalty points, • Willing and able to pass a DBS check (Basic as a minimum) via Disclosure and Barring Service, • Has a smartphone, and comfortable using mobile apps (tasks, photos, simple reporting), • Good level of English and strong communication skills, • Clean, tidy, organised, with high attention to detail, • Experience driving a 3.5 tonne Luton van Vehicles and insurance • We provide vehicles to use for the role, and we provide vehicle insurance., • As a self-employed subcontractor, you are expected to maintain appropriate insurance for self-employed work and personal liability, including being able to cover costs you may be responsible for following an incident (for example, insurance excess or other uninsured losses). Important status and tax clarity • This is a self-employed subcontractor engagement and you will invoice for hours worked. You are responsible for your own Income Tax and National Insurance., • If you provide services through an intermediary (for example a limited company), off-payroll working (IR35) rules may apply and we will follow the required process, including making a status determination where applicable.
