  Social Media & Content Creator

  Newcastle upon Tyne

Social Media & Content Creator \n Remote / UK Based \n Flexible Hours | Freelance \n If you love your pet, you will love us. \n Our client is all about celebrating the pets that mean the world to us. \n They create personalised pet products designed for people who don't see their pet as simply an animal, but as a much-loved member of the family. \n As the brand continues to grow, we are looking for a creative Social Media & Content Creator who can bring that message to life online and help more pet lovers discover us. \n This is a remote, freelance opportunity with flexible hours, ideal for someone who loves creating social content, understands what makes people stop scrolling and, importantly, genuinely understands just how much people love their pets. \n Role overview \n Working closely with the business owner, you will create engaging social media content that showcases our personalised products while building an emotional connection with pet owners. \n We don't just want to show people a product. \n We want the content to tell the story behind it. \n \n Why would someone want something personalised with their dog's face, their cat's name or a special image of the pet they adore? What makes it a meaningful gift? What makes someone see a Reel and immediately think, "I need one of those for my pet"? \n That is where you come in. \n You will help turn products, customer stories, pet photographs and ideas into engaging content across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, including Reels, short-form videos, posts and stories. \n Duties include: \n\n • Creating engaging content for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, including Reels, videos, stories and posts\n, • Showcasing personalised pet products in creative, eye-catching ways\n, • Developing content that captures the emotional connection people have with their pets\n, • Coming up with fresh ideas around pets, personalised gifts, special occasions and seasonal moments\n, • Keeping up with social trends and finding creative ways to make them relevant to the brand\n, • Helping grow followers, reach and engagement across all social platforms\n, • Engaging with the online pet community and using content performance to shape future ideas\n\n Who are we looking for? \n We are much more interested in your creativity, ideas and understanding of social media than a specific number of years' experience. \n Previous hands-on experience creating social media content, particularly Reels and short-form video, is essential for this role. \n You might already work in social media, marketing or content creation. You could be freelancing, at the beginning of your career, or have built an impressive social presence of your own. \n What matters is that you understand how to take a product and turn it into content that people actually want to watch and engage with. \n We would love to hear from you if you: \n\n • Love social media, content creation and, ideally, pets!\n, • Understand Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and AI within a creative content\n, • Can create engaging Reels, videos and visual content\n, • Know what makes people stop scrolling and engage\n, • Can showcase products in fresh and creative ways\n, • Keep up with social trends and have plenty of ideas of your own\n, • Are confident using tools such as Canva, CapCut or Adobe\n, • Are proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working remotely\n\n Experience creating content for pet, gifting, personalised product, e-commerce or lifestyle brands would be particularly useful, but it isn't essential if you can show us great content and ideas. \n The opportunity \n This is a flexible opportunity to work with a brand built around something millions of us understand: how much we love our pets. \n The company creates personalised products that celebrate that relationship, and we want the social media content to capture the same feeling. \n If you love pets, understand social media and know how to turn a great personalised product into content people want to watch, share and buy, please apply by submitting your CV. \n \n Equals One is an advertising and recruitment agency working on behalf of our client to promote this vacancy. You may be contacted directly by the employer should they wish to progress your application. Due to the number of applications we receive, we are unable to provide specific feedback if your application is unsuccessful.
