We are seeking a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Optical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service and support throughout their visit. Your responsibilities will include greeting and assisting customers, booking appointments, handling phone and in-person enquiries, and guiding patients through frame and lens selection. You’ll also support the dispensing optician and optometrist with pre-screening tests, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. A keen eye for detail, good communication skills, and a passion for helping people are essential. Previous experience in an optical or retail environment is preferred, but full training can be provided for the right candidate with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
