Duties and Responsibilities:
· Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about products and customer service standards.
· Schedule staff shifts and manage employee performance, providing feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
· Stay informed about new products, trends, and competitors in the card and gift industry to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
· Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing, adhering to company standards for merchandising and displays.
· Oversee inventory management, including stock ordering, receiving, and merchandising to ensure optimal product availability.
· Manage daily operations, including cash handling, banking, and maintaining accurate financial records.
· Plan and execute in-store promotions and marketing initiatives to attract customers and boost sales.
· Prepare and manage the store budget, monitoring expenses and revenues to ensure financial targets are met.
· Participate in community events and initiatives to promote the store and its offerings.
· Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise among staff or with customers in a professional manner. Skill/experience/qualifications:
· Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain store operations efficiently.
· Proficiency in budgeting, financial reporting, and inventory management.
· Previous relevant experience.
· A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree.
