JOB DETAILS We are looking for a 3D Printing Technician to join our growing team supporting a range of additive manufacturing projects. This position will suit either a graduate with hands-on experience across multiple 3D printing technologies or an experienced manufacturing/engineering technician looking to transition into additive manufacturing. Working within a busy and innovative production environment, you’ll be responsible for preparing, operating, and maintaining 3D printers (FDM, SLA, and Carbon), as well as carrying out post-processing, finishing, and assembly of printed components. The role requires a practical, detail-orientated approach, a strong understanding of digital manufacturing, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills in additive processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Operate and maintain a range of 3D printers (FDM, SLA, and Carbon systems), • Prepare models for printing, including slicing and file optimisation using CAD/CAM software, • Set up print jobs, monitor builds, and ensure print quality and dimensional accuracy, • Perform part cleaning, curing, sanding, polishing, and painting where required, • Assemble multi-part builds and prepare finished components for delivery, • Carry out quality checks and maintain documentation in line with company standards, • Troubleshoot print and equipment issues to minimise downtime, • Manage materials, resins, and consumables inventory, • Support process development and continuous improvement within the workshop ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE • Practical experience with one or more 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA, or DLP), • Strong understanding of digital file preparation and basic CAD principles, • Hands-on workshop experience, ideally involving mechanical assembly or finishing, • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving, • Good communication and teamwork skills DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE • Familiarity with Carbon 3D or similar high-performance additive systems, • Knowledge of post-processing methods (e.g., vapor smoothing, surface finishing, painting), • Experience working within an ISO or quality-controlled environment, • Basic understanding of materials used in additive manufacturing (polymers, resins, composites)
