Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Ambient Lighting Fitter to join our team. The role involves installing high-quality ambient lighting systems into a variety of vehicles, ensuring a clean, factory-style finish and excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install ambient lighting kits in vehicles (dashboards, doors, footwells, trims, etc.)
- Safely remove and refit interior panels without causing damage
- Carry out wiring, soldering, and connections to vehicle electrical systems
- Identify correct live, ground, and ignition sources
- Test all lighting systems to ensure proper functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues
- Maintain a clean and professional workspace
- Communicate with customers when required and explain completed work
Requirements:
- Experience working with car interiors, electrics, or vehicle customisation
- Basic knowledge of automotive wiring and electronics
- Ability to use tools such as trim removal kits, multimeters, and soldering equipment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
