Role Overview: We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic barista to join our team part-time. You’ll be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean and inviting space. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; report any shortages to management. Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations. Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or as a Barista is essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Basic maths skills for cash handling and order processing. Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. A passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and products. Our day starts at 7am, the shop opens at 8 - you must have the experience to handle takeaway & tables until your lunchtime co-worker comes in at 11. You will accept and put away deliveries and keep the shop looking sharp. We are a local cafe - repeat custom is our bread and butter therefore we smile and laugh a lot - it makes it a better place to work and to frequent. Shift ends at 3pm or 4:30 when you lock up. You will earn £15/hr and work 4 to 5 days a week including most (but not all!) weekends.
