Branch Organiser - Union

This role is initially a temp role but could go permanent.

Part Time: 3 days a week, 21 hours (Must be a Monday)

To represent employees working in the private, voluntary and non-Council sector.

To recruit and organise members across all eligible employers. The post holder will focus on recruiting new members

Recruitment/Support:

To attend employee inductions/training sessions/team meetings, to undertake Trade Union recruitment/presentations to new Employees of the Council.

To visit workplaces to give recruitment presentations and/or to deliver recruitment events including one to one and stalls at various locations around the Borough

To communicate with Workplace Reps and the Employers to arrange these and to ensure appropriate facilities are in place. This will occur by phone and email and where appropriate in person.

To order and maintain a stock of recruitment materials for the duties of this post

To establish and maintain an action plan for co-ordinated recruitment across the Borough including records of visits undertaken number of people attending sessions numbers of members recruited etc.

FULL JD to be sent if you have previous experience.
