Worker should be able to do as follows: 1.Analysing and interpreting building plans.
2.Interpreting work orders and determining the materials required.
3.Measuring distance from reference points.
4.Calculating angles and determining the vertical and horizontal alignment of courses.
5.Laying bricks using mortar as a binder and a trowel to level.
6.Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement.
7.Working safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights.
8.Using equipment and tools effectively to perform basic construction tasks.
9.Measuring, cutting , bonding and refacing bricks.
