  1. Liaise with the director and senior staff to determine the range of goods and services to be sold across the retail, off-licence and takeaway arms.
  2. Contribute to the development of sales strategies and set annual and quarterly sales targets by channel.
  3. Identify and secure new B2B accounts, including local trade, catering, wholesale and event customers.
  4. Compile and analyse sales figures by SKU, category and channel; produce reports and commercial recommendations for the director.
  5. Conduct market research and customer surveys on product range, packaging and pricing, including consumer demand for regional Indian ready-meal and grocery lines.
  6. Negotiate supply agreements and pricing with wholesalers and specialist Indian grocery and spice importers; manage margin and cost of goods.
  7. Develop the commercial specification for the Indian takeaway menu — pricing architecture, portion economics, promotional bundles — working with the head chef on costings and feasibility.
  8. Manage third-party delivery aggregator relationships (Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Just Eat), including commission terms, listing optimisation and campaign spend.
  9. Plan and evaluate marketing campaigns and promotional activity; measure ROI.
  10. Monitor competitor activity across the Hampton and wider south-west London catchment.
  11. Ensure commercial activity complies with alcohol licensing conditions, Challenge 25 and relevant trading standards requirements.

Skills Needed:
Person specification Essential Degree-level qualification or equivalent, or substantial demonstrable experience in a business development, commercial or account management role. Proven record of revenue growth and account acquisition. Strong communication and numeracy: margin analysis, pricing, forecasting. Commercial negotiation experience with suppliers or trade customers. Working knowledge of the UK food retail and off-licence sector.


Desirable

  1. Familiarity with Indian and South Asian food categories, ingredients and supplier networks.
  2. Experience with EPOS and stock management systems. Personal Licence holder under the Licensing Act 2003.
