We are looking for experienced and reliable Roofing Carpenters to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out high-quality carpentry work on new-build and refurbishment roofing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct, install and repair timber roof structures.
- Install rafters, joists, roof trusses, battens and other timber components.
- Read and work from technical drawings, plans and specifications.
- Measure, cut and assemble timber accurately to required dimensions.
- Carry out roof repairs, alterations and maintenance as required.
- Work safely at height and follow all site health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.
- Work efficiently as part of a team and meet project deadlines.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with building regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Roofing Carpenter or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of traditional and modern roofing construction.
- Ability to read drawings and take accurate measurements.
- Good practical carpentry and problem-solving skills.
- CSCS card or relevant site certification preferred.
- Own tools and PPE preferred.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team.
