We are seeking a passionate and experienced Caribbean Grill Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will specialise in authentic Caribbean cuisine, bringing flavourful dishes to life while maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary skills in a lively restaurant environment, delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests. Duties • Prepare and cook a variety of Caribbean dishes, ensuring authentic flavours and presentation standards are met, • Assist in meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and assembling ingredients, • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations, • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available, • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction, • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety guidelines, • Contribute to menu development by suggesting new recipes or variations based on customer feedback Requirements • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a Caribbean or multicultural cuisine environment, • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene, • Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with a focus on meal preparation and serving, • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times, • Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members, • A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional customer service, • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential This role offers an engaging environment for culinary professionals eager to specialise in Caribbean cuisine while developing their skills within a dynamic team.
