We are a busy community pub located in Billingham. Known for our warm hospitality and delicious pub fare, we are seeking a talented and passionate Pub Chef to join our kitchen team.

- Prepare and cook high-quality pub dishes according to menu specifications.
- Ensure food preparation and presentation meet our standards of excellence.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff as needed.
- Manage kitchen operations efficiently during service hours.
- Assist with menu planning and cost control measures.
- Provide excellent customer service by accommodating special requests and dietary restrictions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a pub or similar establishment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pub cuisine and traditional British dishes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Positive attitude and team player mentality.
