Overview
Woks Bar and Restaurant is looking for a driven and commercially minded Commercial Manager to help take our independently owned business to the next stage of growth. We are a lively, local Asian-fusion bar and restaurant, known for great food, great drinks, and great atmosphere. The ideal candidate will lead revenue growth through local partnerships, event-based offerings, and marketing initiatives while supporting day-to-day business performance.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities, such as local corporate catering, private dining, events, and collaborations with nearby businesses
Maintain and grow relationships with delivery platforms to drive online sales and customer engagement
Monitor local market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity to adjust business and marketing strategies
Work with the team to coordinate logistics for catering and group bookings, ensuring high-quality service delivery
Set achievable sales targets and motivate front-of-house and delivery teams to meet performance goals
Oversee cash flow management by reviewing payment terms, invoicing, and daily financial performance
Support local marketing initiatives including seasonal promotions, neighbourhood outreach, and social media content (with the support of external designers or internal staff)
Ensure brand consistency and service standards are upheld throughout daily operations
Help plan and manage small events, tasting nights, and themed promotions to increase customer engagement and retention

** Requirements**

Previous experience in restaurant, bar, or hospitality management (experience in Asian cuisine is a plus but not essential)
Strong commercial awareness with a practical approach to growing local business
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
Familiarity with third-party delivery platforms such as Uber Eats, Deliveroo, or HungryPanda
Fluent in English; knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese is an advantage
Willing to work evenings, weekends, and busy service periods as required
