Deputy Manager - Wonderland - Cudworth

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our vibrant Children's Nursery team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Your leadership will inspire staff, foster excellent communication with parents, and uphold high standards of childcare and early childhood education. Responsibilities

• Assist the Nursery Manager in supervising daily nursery activities, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Lead and motivate a team of childcare professionals, promoting teamwork, professional development, and a positive work environment.
• Oversee the implementation of age-appropriate learning programs that support early childhood development and foster curiosity.
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on children's progress and addressing concerns promptly.
• Ensure health, safety, and hygiene protocols are rigorously followed to create a secure environment for children and staff alike.
• Support staff recruitment, training, and performance appraisals to uphold high standards of childcare delivery.
• Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience within a nursery or childcare setting, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
• Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood education or childcare environments.
• Knowledge of nursery regulations, health & safety standards, and best practices in childcare management.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and operational procedures.
• Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred.
• Valid driving license is advantageous for operational flexibility when required.
