Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. You will also engage with pet owners to provide excellent customer service and educate them on proper pet care practices.
Responsibilities
Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets according to breed standards and owner preferences.
Ensure the safety and comfort of all animals during grooming sessions.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, behaviour, and any observed health issues.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a friendly manner.
Handle pets safely and confidently, including those that may be anxious or difficult to manage.
Assist in the care of animals in the facility, including feeding, walking, and general animal care as needed.
Skills
Strong knowledge of animal care practices and grooming techniques.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Physical capability for heavy lifting and handling of various breeds of pets.
Familiarity with veterinary practices is a plus, as it enhances understanding of pet health needs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Patience and compassion towards animals, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
