As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain independence and a high quality of life. This fulfilling role involves assisting with various daily activities while promoting dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Supporting medication management, ensuring timely and correct administration.
- Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding if required.
- Performing light household duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Providing companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in meaningful activities.
- Assisting with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment where necessary.
- Accurately documenting care provided and reporting any changes in a client's condition or well-being to the care team.
Requirements:
- A compassionate, empathetic, and caring nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a dedicated care team.
- Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle may be required, depending on the client's location and specific needs.
