EARLY YEARS PRACTIONER – TEMPORARY CONTRACT
Elmwood Preschool CIC is seeking to recruit a motivated Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team on a temporary basis. The role is central to the preschool's commitment to providing a nurturing, stimulating and well-resourced environment supporting our children during their critical early years. The successful candidate will work well within a team to provide high-quality early years education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), our vision and objectives, and all relevant safeguarding and welfare requirements. They will play a vital role in ensuring that every child feels safe and secure, and is provided with the opportunity to reach their full potential.
- Applicants will ideally have CACHE Level 3 or equivalent, but a minimum of Level 2 is required.
- Suitable candidates should be vibrant and friendly with a good sense of humour, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to operate under their own initiative.
- 15 hours per week: Wednesday and Thursday 8.10am – 11.40am and 12.20pm – 4.20pm
- Monday 4th January to Thursday 15th July.
- Due to the nature of our operation, there may be additional sessions available from April, plus holiday/sickness cover.

Elmwood Preschool is a non-profit making Community Interest Company which has been established for over 30 years. We are based in South Woodham Ferrers, a small town in the borough of Chelmsford. We work in close partnership with Elmwood Primary School, in whose grounds we are based. We offer places to children from two and a half and offer flexible funding options. We have a purpose built Early Years building which caters for up to 26 children at any one time, with 5 members of staff. We are an inclusive setting and pride ourselves on helping all children in our care reach their full potential. We work hard at maintaining positive relationships with our parents and are proud of the facilities we offer and the excellent reputation that we have built within the community.
