Detailed Job Description

Momentum Training Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Education Consultant to support the strategic development, design, implementation and continuous improvement of vocational, professional and accredited education programmes across a diverse portfolio including Construction, Health & Social Care, Business, Leadership, Employability, IT, Health & Safety, Compliance and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all learning programmes meet recognised educational standards, employer expectations, awarding organisation requirements and industry best practice while supporting the company's continued growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities

The Education Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing high-quality vocational, professional and accredited learning programmes.
  • Producing curriculum frameworks, schemes of work and structured learning pathways.
  • Creating engaging lesson plans, learner workbooks and facilitator guides.
  • Designing assessment strategies and learner assessment materials.
  • Developing online, blended and classroom-based learning solutions.
  • Producing digital learning resources using recognised instructional design methodologies.
  • Conducting learning needs analyses for employers and individual learners.
  • Researching labour market trends to identify emerging skills and qualification requirements.
  • Advising senior management on new educational products and commercial training opportunities.
  • Working closely with awarding organisations to ensure programme compliance.
  • Supporting qualification approval and centre recognition processes.
  • Monitoring  CPD-accredited training programmes across multiple sectors.
  • Creating  e-learning courses using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Administering and maintaining online learning platforms, including learner enrolment and course management.
  • Monitoring learner engagement, attendance and progression.
  • Evaluating programme effectiveness through learner feedback, performance data and quality reviews.
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance learner outcomes.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of learning materials.
  • Ensuring all educational resources comply with awarding organisation and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activities and standardisation processes.
  • Preparing educational reports, quality assurance documentation and management information.
  • Advising employers on workforce development, training pathways and professional qualifications.
  • Delivering workshops, seminars, webinars and professional training sessions to adult learners.
  • Supporting apprenticeship and vocational education initiatives where appropriate.
  • Managing multiple curriculum development projects simultaneously while meeting agreed deadlines.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders, employers, colleges and industry partners to develop collaborative training opportunities.
  • Assisting with funding applications and workforce development initiatives where applicable.
  • Developing learner progression pathways aligned with industry-recognised qualifications.
  • Supporting business development activities by contributing technical expertise to proposals, tenders and client presentations.
  • Maintaining accurate learner records, educational documentation and compliance evidence.
  • Monitoring changes in education legislation, qualification frameworks and industry standards.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to trainers and assessors on effective teaching practice.
  • Supporting the implementation of digital transformation initiatives within learning delivery.
  • Contributing to organisational strategic planning for education and workforce development.
  • Promoting equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding across all educational activities.
  • Undertaking any other professional duties consistent with the role of Education Consultant and the ongoing development of the organisation.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Essential
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:

  • Degree in Education, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Business, Construction, Health & Social Care, IT or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience designing vocational or professional education programmes.
  • Experience developing curriculum content and structured learning pathways.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles.
  • Experience developing e-learning and blended learning programmes.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Moodle, Canvas or equivalent platforms.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience preparing professional reports and educational documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes within education and training.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Desirable

The following would be advantageous:.

  • Knowledge of construction, health and social care sectors.
  • Understanding of Ofqual, ESFA and Skills England requirements.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, Prevent and equality legislation.

Hours of Work

  • Full-Time.
  • Permanent position.

  • Normal working hours between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support training delivery, employer engagement or business events.

This role requires regular attendance at the company's Stoke-on-Trent office. The successful candidate may also be required to travel throughout the UK to meet employers, attend industry events, collaborate with awarding organisations and support training delivery at client locations.
