Job DescriptionPart time Finance Operations Manager for a charity in Cambridge. Would you like to work for a charity in Cambridge? Do you have extensive finance knowledge including using Xero? Are you looking to work three days a week? If the answer is YES to all three questions this may be the position or you! This is a part-time post in the first instance and may entail some travelling in the UK and abroad for meetings. Key Responsibilities and accountabilities: Finance * Be responsible for the budget for the Centre, providing regular reports to the Director and Trustees in accordance with the Centre's financial procedures. * With the Trustees and Director develop and implement a financial strategy for the achievement of the Centre's objectives. * Manage invoices, pay bills and salaries. * Monitor and oversee all operational finance matters for the Centre, identifying risks and saving opportunities. Operational management * Be directly responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient day-to-day functioning of the centre where applicable. * Understand the legal and reporting obligations as a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and be responsible for ensuring the Centre meets these obligations including for example filing of annual accounts. * Work with the Board of Trustees, Director, fundraising colleagues and partner organisations to increase voluntary income to the Centre to fund and trial innovative new services and research opportunities in line with our strategy Recruit, manage, support and develop staff, ensuring effective policies and procedures are in place and in compliance with legal requirements. * Day to day line management of a number of staff including the development of objectives, work plans and monitoring ongoing performance, the management of annual leave and sickness and absence monitoring. * Responsible for ensuring the Health & Safety of the workplace, including the developmen...
