2nd Line Support Engineer.
The Work Shop are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading IT Managed Services Provider who are currently looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their energetic and passionate team of IT pro's based in Ringwood. Joining as a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both customer and in-house infrastructure as well as being an escalation point for 1st line service desk colleagues. The role will also involve project work, working with products such as Azure, Intune, VMWare, Office 365, Veeam Backup and Replication. Essential Skills for the 2nd Line Support Engineer: * Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 * Active Directory, Group Policy * Server maintenance and administration - Windows Server 2012-2019 * Backup Monitoring and Management / Veeam * Knowledge of VMWare ESXi deployment and administration * Good networking experience LAN/WAN/Firewalls & VLANs * Good hardware knowledge, PC Builds and installations Personal Attributes & Experience required for the 2nd Line Support Engineer: * A minimum of 2 years' experience, ideally working for a Managed Services Provider * Strong diagnostic mind-set to action and resolve new issues * Attention to detail and accuracy essential * Ability to speak to customers with a customer service focused goal * Confident professional phone manner * Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills * A full driving license is essential. In return for your skills, our client is offering an attractive basic salary of £25,000 - £30,000 dependent upon experience plus excellent career progression opportunities into 3rd Line or a Project Engineer.
