Registered Children's Home Manager.
Opportunity for an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to shape and build a brand new service in Colchester, Essex The Home will provide care and support for children and young people aged 5-13yrs. You will work closely with external professionals, including social workers, teachers and healthcare professionals, to build a comprehensive programme of care for our children and ensure that they are happy, safe and stimulated. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, providing reflective and supportive leadership and ensure the provision of high-quality residential care. This opportunity will see you lead and build your own teams and develop well supported brand new children's services The Successful Candidate: We are looking for a dynamic leader with the ability to connect with those they meet and build meaningful and productive working relationships. Significant experience managing or supervising a team in a residential childrens home Qualification in management to at least at level 4 in Leadership and Management (LMCS) for persons undertaking a qualification after January 2011, the relevant qualification will be level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services. Good knowledge and experience of law and practices relating to looked after children Business and management skills to manage the work efficiently and effectively Financial expertise to ensure the home is run on a sound financial basis including the long-term financial viability of the home Competent in using a range of Microsoft packages to be able to perform in the role on a daily basis and to communicate electronically At least 2 years experience relevant to residential care within the last 5 years At least 1 years experience supervising and managing professional staff Experience of supervising and managing staff and competent in using a range of HR processe...
