They provide technologies and IT services that directly impact operational policing. From the equipment that frontline officers require to be able to make decisions on the street, big data and analytics, 999/101 Control Room services, technologies that support digital investigations and everything in between Information Services is at the heart of it all Nottinghamshire Police are motivated by exploiting the technology to support and improve the Policing service provided to the community of Nottinghamshire. As an Network, Security & Communications Engineer, you will be responsible operational and technical configuration, monitoring, optimisation and maintenance of the network, security and communication infrastructure that underpins the Force’s business functions, ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability. You be involved in the development of the service, installation and operational support for the data and voice network systems and enterprise firewalls that safeguard the IT infrastructure. As part of an team, you will be required to work on call to provide 24x7 cover to ensure critical force systems are operational including network, IP telephony and security systems.
