The role is a varied one and as such we would consider backgrounds from various avenues; if you have previously been a Head Chef, Chef Manager, Hospitality Chef or Senior Sous Chef and are able to lead from the front in a hands on preparation role as well as driving all aspects of menu development, supplier relationships, team recruitment and training then we would love to hear from you. The perfect candidate will be an ambassador for the food they serve and they must be passionate about the ingredients they use. You will inspire others with your knowledge and passion for your craft with a flair for all things food; you will assess the food service offer and identify how to deliver required improvements through a site development program and action plan.
With the hours of worked based 5 over 7 and the contract based on 40 hours per week this is a fantastic opportunity for a great Senior Sous Chef to cook great food along with having a healthy work life balance. You will need to undertake all relevant training with your team, including HACCP and COSHH. You'll monitor and control waste and keep unit costs to a minimum. In line with Company accreditation ensure that all opportunities to recycle waste are used diligently along with reducing water usage where possible.
